What we are

In its broadest definition, Oza is a project that rests upon loose collaborations between crafts(wo)men, artists and designers.

It seeks to preserve and value the ancient know-how and craftsmanship of Anatolia using different media, but mostly contemporary design and artistic production.

Though we don’t like rigid definitions, let’s say, for the sake of clarity, that we are a ‘not just for profit’ company, a creative brand which acts as a manufacturer of furniture, textiles and personal accessories. Our products are designed in different parts of the world by people who share our vision and produced partially or entirely in Turkey.

We also act as a creative collaborator between artists, designers and crafts(wo)men.

Our ambition is to preserve endangered know-how while creating employment and reducing our impact on the planet.

What we believe in

We put three basic principles at the core of our activities:

>>A commitment to highlight the intrinsic value of traditional handcrafts.

>>A promise that every single production we undertake is either sustainable and/or serving a social cause.

>>A fair business relationship between the parties involved (We respect the people we work with and we see them as family, not as resources to exploit.)
